19. the twelve spies

God's people were camping ⛺️ in the desert. 🏜️ They wanted to move to a new land called Canaan that God had promised them. Moses picked 12 spies 🕵️♂️ to go on a secret mission. Their job was to look around the new land and tell everyone what they saw.
The 12 spies 🕵️♂️ walked carefully through Canaan. They saw beautiful green fields and tall mountains. 🏔️ In one place, they found a grape 🍇 vineyard with HUGE grapes! The bunches were so big that two spies had to carry just one bunch on a stick between them.
The spies explored cities and looked at the people who lived there. Some of the people were very tall and strong. 💪 When the spies came back, they told everyone what they saw. 👀
Ten of the spies 🕵️♂️ said, "The land is scary! 🫣 The people are giants, and our homes look tiny compared to their big cities." 🌆
But two spies 🥸 named Joshua and Caleb were different. They said, "Don't be afraid! God promised us this land, and He will help us. The land is wonderful, and we can be brave and take it!” ⚔️
The other spies made everyone worried and scared. 😳 Because they didn't trust God, God told them they would have to wait a long time before entering the special land. 🤦♂️ Only Joshua and Caleb would get to go because they believed God would take care of them. 🙌
