16. the ten commandments

Moses continued to lead the people of Israel through a big desert. 🏜️ They were tired 🥱 and lost, 😞 but God wanted to help them. He called Moses to climb a big mountain 🏔️ called Mount Sinai.
On the mountain, ⛰️ God gave Moses ten 🔟 very special rules to help people be good and love 💕 each other. Here are the rules, called the 10 Commandments:
1. God is the most special, and we should love ❤️ Him most of all
2. Don't make little statues or pictures 🖼️ to worship instead of God
3. Use God's name in a kind and special way
4. Take a day to rest 💤 and remember how much God loves you
5. Always be nice 😊 to your mommy and daddy
6. Never hurt other people 🤗
7. Always tell the truth about other people 🙊
8. Don't take things that don't belong to you
9. Don't tell lies 🐍 about your friends
10. Be happy 😃 with what you have and don't wish for other people's things
Moses was very excited! 😆 He came down from the mountain 🏔️ carrying two big stone tablets with all these rules written on them. He wanted to share God's special instructions with everyone.
He was shocked 😳 with what he discovered when he returned to his people…
