72. the great commission

One beautiful 🌞 day, Jesus asked all His disciples to meet Him on top of a big mountain ⛰️ in Galilee. When they got to the mountaintop, they saw Jesus standing there. He looked so majestic they bowed 🙇 down to worship Him. 🙌 Some of them could hardly believe their eyes! 👀 But Jesus spoke to them with His kind and loving 🥰 voice.
"My dear friends," Jesus said, "God has given me all the power 💪 in heaven and on earth. 🌏 I can do anything. I can calm 😌 storms, heal sick 🤒 people, and even walk on water. 💦 Now, I have a very special job for you to do."
His friends listened 🎧 carefully as Jesus continued, "I want you to go everywhere and tell 🗣️ everyone about Me. Here's what I want you to do:
First, 1️⃣ tell people about Me. Tell them how I was born 👼🏼 in a manger, how I helped people, and how much I love ❤️ everyone. Tell them about how I died 😵 on the cross ✝️ and came back to life to save them.
Second, 2️⃣ when someone places their faith in Me and believes that I died on the cross ✝️ for their sins, baptize 🚿 them, just like I did. When you baptize them, say 'In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.' 💦
Third, 3️⃣ teach them everything I taught you. Teach 👨🏼🏫 them to:
- Love God with all their heart ❤️
- Be kind to everyone, even people who aren't nice 👍 to them
- Share their belongings 🎁 with others
- Tell the truth
- Pray 🙏 every day
- Help people who are sad 😞 or hurt 😢
- Forgive others when they make mistakes
Jesus's friends might have felt a little scared 😳 about this big job. But Jesus smiled 😊 and said: "Don't worry! 🤙 I will be with you always, every single day, everywhere you go. Even when you can't 🙈 see me, I'm right there with you!"
Then Jesus told them that the Holy Spirit 🕊️ would come to give them power. 💪 The Holy Spirit would help them be brave and strong to tell others about Jesus all throughout the ends of the earth. 🌍
After Jesus said all these things, while His friends were watching, Jesus started floating up ⬆️ into the sky! 🌌 Higher and higher He went, until a fluffy cloud ☁️ came and took Him up to heaven. His friends stood there, looking up at the sky 🌌 with their mouths open in surprise. 😮
