There once lived a woman 🧍♀️ named Naomi who lived with her family in Bethlehem. 🌟 Naomi, her husband, and their two sons had to leave their home 🏡 because there wasn't enough food. 🤤 They moved to a different country called Moab.
While living in Moab, something sad 😔 happened. Naomi's husband passed away, and then her two sons died 😵 too. She was left with her two daughters-in-law, Ruth and Orpah. Naomi was very sad 😢 and decided to go back to her home in Bethlehem.
At first, both Ruth and Orpah wanted to go with Naomi. 🙏 But Naomi told them to go back to their own families. Orpah did, but Ruth made a special promise. ☝️ She said, "I will go where you go, and I will stay where you stay. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God."
When they arrived in Bethlehem, they were very poor. 🪙 Ruth went to work in the fields, 🌾 picking up the leftover grain that the workers missed. This was how poor people got food in those days. The field belonged to a kind man 🧍🏻♂️ named Boaz, who was actually a relative of Naomi's late husband.
Naomi had a plan to help Ruth. She told Ruth to go to Boaz and ask him to take care of their family. 🤗 Boaz was happy 😊 to help! He loved 🥰 Ruth's kindness and wanted to marry her. 💍
Soon, Ruth and Boaz got married, 💒 and they had a baby boy 👦 named Obed. This made Naomi very happy! 😊 The most amazing part of the story is that this baby Obed was the grandfather 👴 of King David, who would become a very important person in the Bible for the nation of Israel. God used Ruth's kindness and love ❤️ to do something wonderful.
