After Saul became Paul, 🔄 he went to a big church ⛪️ in a city 🌆 called Antioch, where he met a kind man 👨🏻 named Barnabas. They taught 👨🏼🏫 many people about Jesus together. One special day, while the church ⛪️ friends were praying, 🙏 God said, "I want Paul and Barnabas to go on a very important trip 🧳 for me!" The church ⛪️ friends laid their hands 🙌 on Paul and Barnabas's heads, prayed for them, and sent them off on their big adventure. 🎫
First, Paul and Barnabas walked 🚶 to a place where they could get on a boat. 🛥️ They sailed across the big blue sea 🌊 to an island 🏝️ called Cyprus. There, they met a governor who really wanted to learn about Jesus. Even though a mean 😠 magician 🧙🏻♂️ tried to stop ✋ them, the governor believed in Jesus anyway!
Then they went to more cities 🌃 with unique names like Antioch of Pisidia, Iconium, and Lystra. In each place, they went to synagogues 🕍 where they told everyone the good news: 📰 "Jesus loves ❤️ you! He died and came back to life to be your savior!"
Some people were so happy 😁 to hear about Jesus that they jumped 🦘 for joy. 🥹 But some people were mean 😡 to Paul and Barnabas. In one city, they even threw stones 🪨 at Paul! But God protected him, and he got right back up to keep telling people about Jesus.
Paul and Barnabas were very brave because they knew God was with them every step 🦶 of their journey. 🧳 When they finally went back home to Antioch, they told their church ⛪️ friends all about their amazing adventure and how many new people now loved 🥰 Jesus too. Paul’s trip was considered the first missionary trip 🧭 of all time, and oh what a successful journey it was!
