Moses went to Pharaoh 👑 one final time following all the other plagues and said, "Pharaoh, Pharaoh, Let my freakin’ people go! What the airhead boo-kee?" 🫵 But Pharaoh once again answered, NO! 🚫
So God prepared one last plague. On one special night, 🌃 something very important would happen. God told Moses that He would go through Egypt 🇪🇬 and the firstborn children of all the Egyptian families would be in grave danger. But the Jewish families would be safe!
Moses told the Jewish families to paint 🎨 a special mark of lamb's blood 🩸 on their doorways. 🚪 When God saw the blood, He would "pass over" their homes 🏡 and keep them safe. That's why we call this holiday Passover!
That night, something astonishing happened. The Egyptian families were very sad 😞 because something God took their oldest sons as punishment for Pharaoh’s actions against Israel. 🇮🇱 But the Jewish families were safe and protected. 🔒
Finally, Pharaoh told Moses, "You can go!" And the Jewish people became free! 🆓 They left Egypt quickly, 🏃🏼♂️💨 with hope in their hearts and trust in God.
