* WARNING! this story might be scary for little kids *

After Jesus was baptized in the cool, π splashing water π¦ by John the Baptist, God's Holy Spirit ποΈ led Him on an amazing journey π§ into the desert. ποΈ The desert was a very different place from where Jesus usually lived. Instead of green trees π³ and flowing rivers, ποΈthere were tall, sandy hills and big rocks πͺ¨everywhere. π΅During the day, the hot π₯΅ sun made everything very warm, and at night, it got very chilly! π₯Ά
Jesus went to this quiet π€« place to spend special time talking with God, His Father. π He stayed there for forty days and forty nights. During all this time, Jesus didn't eat any food. π€€ No breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
Then one day, when Jesus was very hungry, π€€ someone evil π called Satan came to test Him. He tried three 3οΈβ£ tricky times to get Jesus to do wrong things:

First, Satan looked at all the rocks πͺ¨ on the ground and said to Jesus, "If you're really God's Son, why don't you turn these stones into warm, fresh bread? π It would smell so good and taste so yummy!" π Jesus must have been thinking about soft, delicious bread, but He knew that listening ππ» to God was more important than even the tastiest food. π± So He said, "No! God's words are more important than bread!"π₯

Then Satan took Jesus to the very tippy-top of the tall temple βͺοΈ in Jerusalem. ποΈ It was so high up they could see all the tiny people below! Satan said, "If you jump down from here, angels π will catch and save you!" But Jesus knew this was wrong. He said, "No! We shouldn't test God just to show off!" π βοΈ

For his last trick, Satan showed Jesus all the beautiful π€© kingdoms in the whole wide world - π places with giant castles, π° sparkling β¨ treasures, and flowing ποΈ rivers. "I'll give you all of these wonderful things," Satan promised, "if you just bow πβοΈ down to me instead of God." But Jesus was very brave and wise. He stood tall and said in a strong voice, "Go away, Satan! The Bible π says we should only worship God!"

Satan πΏ saw that Jesus wouldn't do any wrong things, so he went away. Then something wonderful happened - God sent His angels π to take care of Jesus! They brought Him comfort π€ and helped Him feel strong πͺ again.
