God was helping the Israelites find a new home, 🏡 and He asked Joshua to attack a city 🌆 called Jericho. The city of Jericho had big, strong 💪 walls that were very tall. These walls were so big that they seemed impossible to get through! But God had a special plan.
God told Joshua to do something very unique and puzzling. 🤨 He said, "Have all the soldiers march around the city walls. March around one time each day for six days. On the seventh day, march around seven times, and then have the soldiers blow their trumpets 🎺 very loud!"
So that's exactly what they did! The soldiers marched 🚶around the big walls, carrying a special box 🗃️ called the Ark of the Covenant. They walked quietly, 🤫 with one group of soldiers in front and another behind. Each day they walked around the walls one time.
On the seventh 7️⃣ day, they marched around seven times. When they blew their trumpets 🎺 and shouted 🗣️really loud, something incredible happened! The big, strong walls of Jericho fell down with a great big crash! 💥
God helped Joshua and his people enter the city, 🌆 just like He promised. Rahab and her family were kept safe because she had been kind to Joshua's spies. 🕵️♂️
