28. david and goliath

There once lived a young shepherd 🐑 boy 👦 named David. He was small but very brave and loved 🥰 God very much. David lived in Israel, and his people were having a big problem with the Philistines.
The Philistines had a giant soldier 🗡️ named Goliath. He was HUGE - taller than two grown-ups standing on top of each other! 🧍🏻♂️🧍🏻♂️ Goliath was very scary 🫣 and wore heavy armor that made him look even bigger. He would shout mean 😤 things and challenge the people of Israel to fight him.
All of the soldiers in Israel were afraid 😱 of Goliath. They didn't want to fight 🥊 such a big, strong 💪 giant. But David was different. He believed that God would help him, even though he was small. 🙌
David went to see the battle ⚔️ and heard Goliath's mean 😪 words. He told the king 👑 that he wanted to fight the giant! Everyone thought David was too little and couldn't possibly win. But David said, "God has helped me protect my sheep from lions 🦁 and bears. 🐻 God will help me now, too!"
Instead of heavy armor, David took only his sling (a special tool for throwing stones) and five smooth stones. 🪨 🪨 🪨 🪨 🪨 When Goliath saw David, he laughed 😂 and made fun of him. 🤭 But David wasn't scared!
David took out a stone, 🪨 put it in his sling, and swung it around. With one throw, the stone 🪨 hit Goliath right on the forehead. 💥 The giant fell down, and David had won! 🤯
