To confirm God’s promise to Abram, God changed Abram’s name to Abraham when he was 99 years old because it meant “father of a nation.” 👴 Abraham and his wife Sarah 👵 loved God 💕very much and wanted to have a baby, but they were very old and didn't have any children.
God made a special promise 🤝 to Abraham. He told Abraham that he would have a son, 👦 even though he and Sarah were much older than most parents. Abraham believed God's promise and trusted Him.
Finally, when Abraham and Sarah were even older than most great grandparents, 🦖🦕 they were given a wonderful gift 🎁—a baby boy named Isaac! 👶🏼 They were so happy and thankful. Isaac was their miracle child, the son God had promised them.
Abraham loved 🥰 Isaac very much. He also loved God and wanted to show how much he trusted Him. 🙇♂️ One day, God asked Abraham to do something extremely difficult—to show that he loved God more than anything else.
God asked Abraham to bring Isaac to a mountain ⛰️ and be willing to give his son back to God. This was a big test of Abraham's trust. Abraham was sad 😞 but still trusted God.
Just when Abraham was about to do what God asked, 🔪 God stopped him. God saw that Abraham loved Him 🫶 more than anything in the world. 🌍 Instead of letting anything happen to Isaac, God provided a ram (a special sheep) 🐑 to take Isaac's place. Abraham trusted God, and God always keeps His promises.
